We’re looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Freight Manager – EMEA to join our logistics and transportation team. This role is responsible for shaping and executing our freight strategy across the region, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making.
About the Role
- Take ownership of freight carrier relationships and performance across EMEA.
- Accountable for daily intercompany shipments and domestic & international inbound and outbound distribution, and lead strategic initiatives to optimise cost, service, and sustainability using data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the EMEA freight distribution and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations. Responsible for a £20M+ budget.
- Use data to monitor, analyse, and improve carrier performance, service levels, cost efficiency, and environmental impact.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive tendering processes, contract negotiations, service level agreements, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Tech, Customer Experience, Finance, Procurement, Legal and ESG.
- Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and automation in parcel operations.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
About You
- Proven experience in freight management within a complex, multi-country environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to drive decisions and improvements.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Solid knowledge of customs processes, cross-border procedures and DG regulations.
- Experience with logistics systems (e.g., Metapack), BI tools, or transport management systems is a plus.
- Availability to travel regularly to Corby HQ and EU distribution centres.
