Position: Functional Assessor with Ingeus.

Location: Southend.

Salary: Starting salary ÂŁ47,853.80, increasing to ÂŁ48,353.80 at 12 months. Annual bonus up to 10% paid quarterly.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional assessments face‐to‐face, via video and telephone to evaluate claimants' ability to undertake daily living activities
  • Ask focused questions, actively listen, and use critical reasoning to gather accurate information
  • Produce high‐quality, structured clinical reports for submission to the DWP
  • Review evidence, request and evaluate additional evidence, and triage cases to determine the correct assessment pathway
  • Collaborate with experienced clinical colleagues to ensure fair, high‐quality assessments

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • NMC‐registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC‐registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Paramedics
  • Minimum of 12 months post‐qualification and registration experience in the UK

Preferred Qualities:

  • Willingness to undergo formal training to become a DWP‐approved Functional Assessor
  • Open to constructive feedback and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable using computers and learning software for detailed reporting
  • Desires a structured environment that utilises clinical skills differently
