Eligibility
The successful candidate will be enrolled onto the HLA in Civil Engineering course at Belfast Met. Eligibility requires a minimum of three passes at GCSE Grade C or 4 and above, including Mathematics and English Language. If you have already achieved or are working toward a similar level 3 course, you may not be eligible.
Job Description
As a paid apprentice, you will gain hands‑on experience working on real‑world projects that make a difference. You will also complete classroom‑based learning, either in person or virtually, with a reputable college or training provider. Upon completion, you will earn a nationally recognised qualification that can lead onto exciting career opportunities. The apprenticeships typically last three years. You will be part of a team shaping tomorrow’s world through innovation, sustainability or community impact.
Energy Team
Your work will support our Energy Team on the design and delivery of infrastructure that enables the UK’s transition to Net Zero. You will contribute to the design of critical systems that support the transmission of low‑carbon energy across the UK. As an Apprentice Civil Technician, you will produce technical drawings, models and documentation using industry‑standard software, working closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
