We are looking for a KYC Coordination Analyst who will support client communication and document flow for Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) compliance. The role ensures timely, accurate collection of customer information and documents, working closely with the KYC Coordinator Associate and internal stakeholders to meet regulatory and operational requirements while supporting SLA performance for MHBK, MHI, London & EMEA Branches. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, client‑focused, and skilled in managing complex documentation workflows while maintaining GMS, AML and KYC standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communication and Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for rolling review team members and act as the conduit to the Front Office, supporting the end‑to‑end rolling review KYC/AML process. Proactively manage outreach to clients to request required documentation, answer queries, and ensure timely follow‑ups. Provide guidance to rolling review/front office teams on documentation requirements, including regulatory expectations.
  • KYC/AML Documentation Collection and Validation: Coordinate the collection of KYC/AML documentation and information from clients for rolling reviews and event‑driven reviews (EDR’s). Validate submitted documentation for accuracy, completeness and adherence to regulatory standards and Mizuho GMS alignment. Work with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information.
  • Process Coordination and Management: Track and manage the end‑to‑end client outreach process to meet deadlines and SLA targets set by senior management. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Compliance, Front Office, 3rd‑party vendors) to escalade and resolve issues efficiently. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in relevant systems, prioritising tasks effectively. Support KYC colleagues within the rolling review team, providing guidance where required.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all outreach activities comply with AML, KYC and regulatory standards. Identify and escalade potential risks and red flags when appropriate. Stay updated on changes to Mizuho GMS policies and procedures.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report client file/outreach status, response rates and KPIs. Provide updates to Associates and Team Lead on in‑flight KYC files and outstanding items. Stay informed on changes in global and local KYC regulations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in KYC, AML, client onboarding or compliance roles.
  • Experience in client‑facing roles with a focus on communication and relationship management.
  • Strong knowledge of KYC/AML regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with KYC/AML tools and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
