Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join an established engineering company on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role
- Collaborate with a team to design and manufacture control panels.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team during the quotation and project bidding process.
- Prepare technical datasheets to support tender submissions and customer proposals
- Produce detailed General Arrangement (GA), schematic and label drawings.
- Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) using ERP system
- Interpret and work from fabrication drawings (Solid Works)
- Prepare test certificates and associated project documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards, industry regulations, and company procedure.
- Participate in project and team meetings to review progress, resolve technical challenges, and support successful project delivery.
- The Candidate
- The successful
Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have experience in the design of electrical control panels in addition to the following:-
- Experience in electrical design involving both single-phase and three-phase voltage.
- Proficiency in Auto CAD.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Understanding of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design principles (desirable).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including RS485, RJ45, serial communications, and related interfaces (desirable).
- Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable).
