Our Grantham based Client is looking to appoint a Production Supervisor on a full time, permanent basis. The Production Supervisor will be based within the Operations team and will be responsible for organising workflow and ensuring the hands on management of a busy workshop. This role offers an excellent opportunity for developing a career in a progressive, global company.
The Role
- Leading the manufacture of a range of products from technical drawings and schematics.
- Leading a small team.
- Hands on duties such as include welding, cutting, drilling, assembly work, cable crimping and some wiring.
- Operating and training other users in the use of production equipment.
- Collecting and delivering materials if required, forklift license would be desirable.
- Occasional property maintenance may be required.
- Ensuring all work processes are completed to a high standard including keeping the workshop clean to avoid hazards & maintaining the company’s health & safety and quality guidelines.
The Candidate
- Previous similar experience as a Production Supervisor.
- Proven experience in MIG welding desirable.
- Sling and lifting experience desirable.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience using grinders, cutting equipment and general fabrication tools.
- Strong practical and mechanical skills.
- Knowledge of safety rules and precautionary measures (PPE provided).
- Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
