Summary of the International Business Development Manager role
Our client is seeking an International Business Development Manager to support the growth of their business within the UK market.
Working closely with senior business development and management teams, you will identify and develop opportunities with UK-based businesses, entrepreneurs and professional partners interested in establishing or expanding their business presence in Dubai.
You will be responsible for building relationships with prospective clients and partners, developing a strong network of contacts and helping turn new opportunities into successful engagements.
This is a highly relationship-driven role suited to an outgoing, commercially minded and self-motivated individual who is confident initiating conversations, developing new networks and building long-term professional relationships.
Working remotely from the UK, you will need to be self-reliant, comfortable taking ownership of your activities and proactive in identifying and progressing new business opportunities.
The successful candidate will combine strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with commercial awareness, initiative and the confidence to engage with senior business leaders and key decision-makers.
International Business Development Manager – Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential UK-based clients, partners and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified business opportunities.
- Identify and develop relationships with UK businesses and entrepreneurs interested in establishing or expanding their business presence in Dubai, alongside professional and referral partners who can support new business opportunities.
- Develop relationships with prospective clients and partners through email, Linked In, telephone, meetings and events.
- Proactively initiate conversations and build productive relationships with senior business leaders and key decision-makers.
- Support senior colleagues with business development campaigns and account development.
- Arrange and participate in introductory meetings with prospective clients and partners.
- Prepare company information, presentations, proposals and other business development materials.
- Monitor market developments, competitors and potential target organisations.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, contacts, activities and opportunities within the CRM system.
- Support the preparation and submission of tenders, proposals and expressions of interest.
- Work with internal teams to ensure opportunities are properly qualified and progressed.
- Attend client meetings, conferences, trade shows and networking events across the UK, with travel to Dubai as required.
- Contribute to developing the UK market and identifying potential routes to market.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, recruitment, consulting or another commercially focused environment would be advantageous.
