Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Compliance Manager with expertise in Fire and Water safety. This role involves overseeing, administering, and driving a comprehensive program of works to ensure full compliance with relevant legislation and client requirements. As the designated Responsible Person, the successful candidate will act as the principal point of contact for all fire and water safety matters, providing expert guidance, enforcing best practices, and fostering a culture of safety. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Compliance Manager to take ownership of compliance initiatives, elevate standards, and create a safe, regulated environment.
Compliance Manager Deliverables / Outcomes:
- To monitor, report and advise on the delivery of fire and water related matters across a varied and large client portfolio.
- To ensure a plan of ongoing risk assessments and reviews is undertaken and to prioritise the remedial actions based on budgetary constraints.
- To measure service providers performance against associated KPIs and other performance-related targets.
- To prepare detailed financial and performance-related bids, reports and schedule of works and present to senior management.
- To provide specialist support and training to client staff engaged in the management of fire and water.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Substantial experience of managing the mobilisation, development, and delivery of large-scale contracts (100+ diverse premises from corporate HQs to small residential houses).
- A track record in end-to-end management of major fire and water contracts.
- Substantial experience of managing statutory compliance performance.
- Substantial experience of managing contracts and contractors.
- Significant experience of ensuring H&S compliance within similar working environments.
- Significant experience of managing budgets.
- Expert knowledge of RRFO 2005, ACOP L8 and HSG 274, and associated statutory compliance regulations and legislation.
- Experience of working in a local government environment.
- Awareness of NEC3/4 contract process.
- Experience of construction, estate management and building regulations.
Location: South Midlands / Hybrid Working
Travel: Travel to client sites is required, with limited public transport access. Applicants must have a valid driving license and their own reliable transport.
