About the role

Are you passionate about developing the next generation of teachers and educators? Do you have the expertise to inspire outstanding teaching practice and support apprentices to achieve their full potential? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education to join our Quality and Performance team and play a key role in delivering and developing our Initial Teacher Education provision.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Higher Education teacher training programmes, with a particular focus on the Level 5 Apprenticeship in Teaching and Learning. As a Senior Lecturer, you will be a champion of excellence in teaching and learning, supporting apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required to become effective educators. You will provide expert guidance, coaching and support throughout the apprentice journey, helping learners achieve high levels of success while promoting reflective, evidence-based practice.

Working closely with employers, partner organisations, the University of Lancashire and colleagues across the College, you will contribute to the continued development of teacher education programmes and help strengthen teaching and learning across the wider organisation. You will also play a key role in quality assurance activities, curriculum enhancement, preparation for inspection and the sharing of best practice through staff development and professional networking.
