About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join our College as a Liverpool City Region Farmer Network Facilitator. In this exciting fixed-term role, you will lead the establishment and development of a Liverpool City Region Farmer Network, bringing together farmers from across the dairy, livestock and arable sectors to promote collaboration, sustainability and local food resilience.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and growth of the Liverpool City Region Farmer Network, creating opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing across the agricultural sector.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, industry partners, consultants, stakeholders and sponsors to support the long-term success of the network.
- Undertaking Training Needs Analysis activities to identify priority skills gaps and develop responsive training opportunities that meet the needs of local farmers and growers.
- Planning, organising and delivering workshops, training sessions and knowledge exchange activities, drawing upon specialist colleagues where appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with the Director of Farms and wider College colleagues to develop a sustainable model for the Farmer Network and secure support from industry associates and sponsors.
- Organising and supporting meetings, events and engagement activities, including venue coordination, stakeholder communication, agenda preparation and minute taking.
- Supporting the development of case studies, promotional materials and communications that showcase the impact of the network and encourage engagement.
