Do you have a strong background in the trees, timber, or wider arboriculture and forestry sectors? Do you enjoy working with people, supporting skills development, and helping learners grow in confidence? We are seeking an Apprenticeship Work-Based Technical Skills Coach (Trees & Timber) to support apprentices on Higher and Degree Apprenticeship programmes. This is a highly rewarding role, working with apprentices and employers across England to ensure every learner gains the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for success.

In this role, you will provide one-to-one and group coaching, carry out industry-relevant progress checks, support off-the-job training, and guide apprentices through their full journey from onboarding through to End Point Assessment. Primarily home-based, you will work closely with apprentices and employers by hosting online progress review meetings and completing apprenticeship documentation using the college's e-portfolio system, OneFile. You will also play a vital role in pastoral support, target setting, compliance monitoring, and helping apprentices overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience as a coach or assessor, or background as a skilled industry professional prepared for a coaching/assessment career step.
  • Willingness to undertake training and development to excel in the role.
  • Reasonable home-based working arrangement and ability to host online reviews.
