Role Summary

As National Accounts Manager, you will play a critical role in growing some of our most important customer partnerships while helping drive the adoption of industry-leading home energy management solutions.
The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is responsible for developing, managing, and growing strategic relationships with myenergi's key national distribution channel partners, social housing partners, and major installer accounts across GB.
The role will drive revenue growth, increase market share, and strengthen customer partnerships through effective account management, commercial negotiations, business planning, and collaborative growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for assigned national accounts, including (but not limited to) creating and executing joint business plans, identifying new opportunities, managing commercial agreements, and ensuring customers achieve maximum value from their partnership with myenergi.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management and Business Development
- Develop and manage relationships with key national distributor partners and strategic installer accounts
- Create and implement annual target setting and joint business plans aligned to myenergi growth objectives
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, market share, and product penetration across assigned accounts
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including sales, procurement, operations, marketing, technical, and senior leadership teams
- Act as the voice of the customer within myenergi, ensuring customer requirements, feedback, and market intelligence are communicated effectively
- Drive customer retention, loyalty, and long-term strategic partnerships
- Sales and Revenue Growth
- Deliver sales, revenue, and profitability targets for assigned accounts
- Develop account specific strategies and implement activities to achieve objectives
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within existing and prospective national accounts
- Support product launches and promotional campaigns to maximise market uptake.
- Monitor competitor activity, market shares and market trends, recommending actions to maintain competitive advantage and grow market shares
- Support channel sales and project enablement thought product training and development initiatives
- Commercial Management
- Lead commercial negotiations including trading agreements and terms, rebate structures, pricing frameworks, and contractual terms
- Lead the design, modification and development of the distributor agreements annually
- Ensure all agreements are commercially viable and aligned with company strategy and objectives
- Maintain a thorough understanding of account profitability and performance
- Support tender responses and commercial proposals where required
- Lead contract negotiations and support the successful mobilisation and implementation of awarded contracts.
- Business Reviews and Performance Management
- Conduct regular business and strategic account reviews
- Analyse account performance against agreed objectives and KPIs
- Develop commercial action plans to address performance gaps and accelerate opportunities
- Produce accurate account reports and updates for internal stakeholders
- Monitor and communicate key account metrics including sales performance, pipeline, market share, and customer engagement.
- Obtain sales out data and distribute performance revenue data across technical sales managers regions.
- Forecasting, Planning and Reporting
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management for assigned accounts
- Work closely with internal teams to support demand planning and inventory management
- Develop dashboards and reporting structures and governance to meet myenergi’s and channel partner needs
- Develop annual budgets and account forecasts
- Maintain CRM systems and account records to ensure accurate reporting and visibility
- Collaboration and Cross Functional Working
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Technical Support, Product Management, and Finance teams to deliver customer objectives
- Coordinate joint customer visits, sales activities, events, and training programmes
- Support channel partner enablement through collaboration with internal colleagues and departments as necessary
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, networking forums, and customer engagement activities to enhance brand awareness and generate new opportunities
- Required Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Proven experience in National Account Management, Key Account Management, or Channel Sales
- Experience managing distributor, installer and social housing provider relationships
- Knowledge and experience of the UK electrical distribution and installer sector / landscape
- Experience within renewable energy, EV charging, solar, battery storage, or related sectors
- Proven understanding and experience of social housing sector including compliance, procurement frameworks, tendering processes, and purchasing practices
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating contracts, delivering revenue growth and strategic channel partnerships
- Demonstrable track record of delivering sales growth through strategic account development
- Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning capabilities
- Ability to analyse sales data and convert insights into actionable growth plans
- Experience delivering business reviews, technical training and executive level presentations
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams to executive leadership
- Experience with CRM platforms, maintaining the data and leveraging it for analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
