Role Summary

We’re looking for a Senior React Native Software Engineer to join our growing mobile team. You’ll help develop and maintain two key mobile apps:

  • A customer-facing app that gives users real-time visibility and control over their myenergi devices (zappi, eddi, libbi, harvi, etc.).
  • An installer-focused app used by professional installers to connect to our devices via Bluetooth for setup, configuration, and diagnostics.

You’ll work as part of a small, agile team with real ownership over product features and UX improvements.

This is an opportunity to work on meaningful software that integrates closely with custom hardware and contributes to a more sustainable future.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and iterate on our two React Native mobile apps for i OS and Android.
  • Help review, design and implement the architecture of our mobile apps.
  • Work closely with product owners, designers, firmware engineers, and QA to deliver features from concept to release.
  • Integrate with Bluetooth (BLE) APIs to support device configuration via the installer app.
  • Collaborate on API integration for real-time energy data, settings management, and device control.
  • Write robust, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and UI/UX inconsistencies.
  • Participate in regular code reviews and help shape best practices across the mobile team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years using React Native in production apps.
  • Strong skills in Java Script and Type Script.
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-platform mobile apps (i OS and Android).
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integrations in React Native (or willingness to learn).
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows.
  • Version control with Git and familiarity with standard CI/CD processes (e. g. Circle CI).
  • Experience delivering clean UI’s and user experience best practices.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Nice To Have
  • Experience working with native modules (Swift, Kotlin).
  • Familiarity with BLE libraries.
  • Testing tools like Jest.
  • Previous experience in Io T, smart home, or hardware-connected apps.
  • Understanding of energy systems or EV charging tech.
