Do you want to use your skills to make a real difference to the myeloma community? We’re looking for an experienced healthcare professional to join our team of Myeloma Information Specialists. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this post, and you will have previous experience in information delivery, as well as good IT and organisational skills. Previous experience working in oncology, haematology, clinical research, or a healthcare environment would be an advantage for this role.

This is an exciting time to join Myeloma UK as we launch our new five-year strategy. As a Myeloma Information Specialist, you will provide a range of information and support on myeloma and related conditions to anyone affected by myeloma including patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • You will be part of the team on the Myeloma UK Infoline, taking calls and responding to queries.
  • You will assist in the development and monitoring of the Infoline and Ask the Nurse services.
  • You will develop an awareness of research and clinical developments and other initiatives in the field of myeloma and related conditions.

Myeloma UK is the only UK charity focused on myeloma and its related conditions. We provide support and influence access to treatments, while researching a cure. Thanks to life‑extending treatments and support, today many people affected by myeloma are able to live longer and to live well. Together, we support, so no one faces myeloma alone.

Qualifications:
  • Experience as a healthcare professional, with prior experience in oncology, haematology, clinical research, or a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT and organisational skills.
  • Experience in information delivery and support provision.
