Your role as a Network Infrastructure Engineer at MyDentist is full-time and initially an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is an additional role for the Infrastructure Team to support business growth. The role can be a flexible hybrid role with our Support Centre based in Kearsley, M26 1GG. You will benefit from free onsite parking, and Kearsley train station is just a short walk away.

Your future, your role:
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be:
- Playing a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimising our IT infrastructure to ensure security, scalability, and reliability across our enterprise environment
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco and Meraki technologies as well as network access control
- Administering and optimising Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
- Managing, identifying and accessing services using Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure Active Directory), including conditional access, MFA, and SSO configurations
- Overseeing and supporting Nutanix HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure), including configuration, storage provisioning, and cluster management
- Administering and supporting existing FortiGate firewall appliances
You will have:
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar technical role
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst, Meraki dashboard, and associated LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi technologies
- Solid experience with cloud networking technology
- Experience with network access control
- Experience with FortiGate firewalls and associated tools
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VPN, VLAN, etc.) and enterprise firewall and proxy solutions
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for infrastructure tasks
