We are at a defining moment in our digital journey, embarking on a migration to a hybrid cloud model, primarily Microsoft Fabric and a modern Azure ecosystem.

Position Details

  • Permanent, full‑time role.
  • Hybrid working – one day per week onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technology choices and technical architecture across our Azure tenant and digital cloud assets.
  • Lead the transition of core networking, identity, and complex workloads (IaaS/PaaS) to the cloud, ensuring a solid, secure foundation for the data team’s Microsoft Fabric rollout.
  • Design and implement the Azure Landing Zone, integrating our 500‑site network into a stable, scalable, and manageable system.
  • Lead "lean cloud" initiatives—optimising resources and ensuring cloud spend is transparent and efficient.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in cloud computing as a senior engineering role (AZ‑305 or equivalent desirable).
  • 5+ years in technical or systems architecture on cloud/on‑prem platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience with core cybersecurity concepts and best practice (AZ‑500 or equivalent desirable).
  • Experience with Microsoft data products such as Fabric, Data Factory, DataBricks, Cosmos, SQL, Purview.
  • Experience with AI tools, e.g., AI Foundry, MVC, mainstream LLMs.
