Here at {my}dentist, we are pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for Dental Clinical Supervisors to support a first of its kind training scheme in North West. Working from our Training Practice near Preston, you will be supporting a group of overseas qualified dentists in obtaining their NHS performer numbers.
More about the responsibilities of the role:
- To work in the practice 2 days a week with flexibility to choose days you want to work.
- To provide clinical supervision and support to up to 3 overseas qualified dentists in a general dental practice environment.
- To liaise with {my}dentist clinical team about the progress and abilities of the dentists.
- To attend any training or meetings that {my}dentist deem appropriate for clinical supervisors.
- To assess and grade the treatment provided and professionalism of the dentists for the purposes of meeting their clinical requirements.
- To maintain skills, competencies and required continued professional development appropriate for general practice and the support of dentists.
- To liaise with the practice manager for the satisfactory integration of dentists into the practice.
- To provide appropriate pastoral support to the dental students whilst in the practice and report any issues arising from dentists.
Role Requirements:
- Full GDC registration as a dentist or specialist and active NHS performer number.
- Minimum 4 years post qualification experience as a general dentist.
- Previous experience in teaching or mentoring is desirable.
