Assistant Boarding House Parent – Myddelton College is a leading co‑educational day and boarding school situated in Denbigh, North Wales, with 37 acres of pitches, parkland and play areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of the boarding house for international pupils aged Year Groups 5‑13, reporting to the Head of Boarding.
  • Oversee accommodation arrangements and supervise the provision of term‑time meals.
  • Support the boarding team, ensuring the welfare and well‑being of all boarders.
  • Participate in school activities, including the Learning Through The Outdoors programme, the music department, the CCF unit and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum one year experience as a live‑in member of a boarding team.
  • Willingness to work weekends as required.
  • Good organisational skills, enthusiasm and knowledge of the needs of international high‑achieving boarders.

Remuneration

Annual salary on the Myddelton College pay scale (£24,000–£28,000), dependent on qualifications and experience.

Safety and Safeguarding

The role requires willingness to undergo child protection screening, enhanced DBS, identity, qualification and employment checks, and provision of two satisfactory references.
