Overview

Mydas recruitment are specialists in sourcing engineers to world leading organisations

Our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation, have a requirement for a supplier / supply chain manager to work with multifunctional teams throughout the organisation, to ensure that products are delivered to meet costs, quality & schedule.

Candidates should have experience of :

  • External customer and supplier interface
  • Schedule adherence and planning
  • Effective business control and monitoring
  • Closely monitor supplier performance to schedule and quality
  • Lead role on site, assuming responsibility for manufacturing programmes.
  • Expected to work with a supplier to identify any program constraints / risks and assist them in finding resolutions
  • Understand any gaps the supplier may have in their rate readiness capability, including the suppliers own supply chain.
  • Daily interface between Belfast MFT (multi-functional teams) and suppliers is essential, ensuring follow up of corrective action responses and a timely, cost-effective resolution of all problems.
  • Representing client at program management reviews to escalate any known issues and / or contribute to the development of the supplier.
  • Ensuring that good working relationships and clearly defined interfaces are maintained
  • Maintaining and continually developing an effective Management Information System supported by agreed metrics and governance process, enabling sufficient program health.
  • Be able to demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate at a senior level.
  • Provision of management information reports to the program office to aid decision making and support on Tier 1 senior reviews.
  • Continuing to develop and manage all requirements and deliverables that will support effective and causal Tier 1 performance.
  • Act as interface point for supplier representatives
  • Candidate to represent the supplier at Engineering and Program change boards as required.
