About Us
We’re a small startup helping people break free from phone addictions - especially ADHDers. We all deserve to live our best lives, but putting down those phones is hard to do. Neuroscience tells us we need external support. That’s where myCopilot.ai comes in. We live at the intersection of neuroscience, AI, psychotherapy, app development, and emotional story-telling. We have a product. We have a mission. We have a story. TikTok is where we find our people. Now we need to build community and attract users. We’re not corporate. We’re a classic small startup; chaotic, creative, high-agency, purpose-led, mission-focused, and very human. We have a small office at the creative hub at Document Studios in St Jude’s, Bristol. It’s not a studio per se but we do have camera gear, lighting, and a founder who knows his way around both sides of the lens.
The Role
We’re looking for a TikTok-native creative with a sharp visual instinct and a feel for neurodivergent audiences. You’ll be working closely with the founder - himself TikTok-native, albeit an Old - and our other social media contributors to help ideate campaigns, and then shoot, edit, and publish content that’s bold, relatable, and actually gets watched. This is a hands-on role and you will be responsible for managing and using real-world gear, tech and software tools.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the founder and team-members on TikTok-first campaign ideas and series content
- Help us reach a vibrant, neurodivergent creative community
- Develop visual formats and storytelling rhythms that resonate
- Publish content, and track engagement and outcome metrics
- Edit videos for TikTok (CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Loomly, Riverside, etc.)
- Responsible for content capture and production; e.g. camera settings, shot framing, lighting setups. The founder will guide from experience.
- Use our gear where necessary (cameras, lenses, lights, etc) to shoot IRL content
- Experiment with AI tools (e.g. Google's Veo3) to generate content
- Be part of the content yourself if you’re into it, or stay behind the scenes, depending on the magic of the collab.
What We’re Looking For
- Studying or studied media, film, marketing, or other creative fields OR a standout portfolio that proves you’ve got the eye
- Native familiarity with TikTok and how it really works
- A collaborative, idea-bouncing human; chemistry with the founder is make-or-break.
- You don’t need to be an experienced photography pro, but we do need you to be confident handling gear with enthusiasm and a desire to work towards mastery of content production
- Capable of editing for fast, engaging, story-led video
- Comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and the inherent variability of startup energy.
This startup is about truly helping a lot of people deal with a real struggle. We’re not selling widgets, we’re trying to fix a properly broken aspect of our society. We need hungry people impatient to make a difference and genuinely excited about bringing energy to bear on a problem that really matters.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working with creators or on your own channel
- Familiar with ADHD and neurodivergent creator communities
- A vibe that matches our brand: creative, compassionate, a little chaotic
- Strong instincts for visuals, framing, pacing, and storytelling on-screen
- Already using AI creatively, or keen to dive in
What You’ll Get
- Be part of a crew that cares about people; we look after our users, we look after our team.
- A ton of creative freedom and real-world TikTok publishing experience
- A co-creator who gets TikTok, to make content with
- Tech, gear, equipment, software access, and a collaborative space
- Honest exposure to what startup life actually feels like
- Flexibility and belonging; grounded in office-based collaboration with freedom for remote-work and flexible times to allow personal life and real-world needs to be met
Team and Inclusivity
Our product and our team is from the ground up about diversity and inclusion. The current team is a mix of backgrounds and neurotypes. If you can deliver our social campaigns, you will be welcome.
Location & Working Hours
Hybrid. 2-4 days per week in the office (Document Studios, St Judes, Bristol). Part time and full time options. Ideal: 4 days a week. This role is all about collaboration and co-creation with the founder and other team-mates, which is always best in-person.
Salary and Remuneration
Dependent on experience. Starting at entry-level wages, increasing with experience and over time with proven impact. Bonuses for meeting user-acquisition targets. Potential for equity options in our next funding round, dependent on how mutual long-term collaboration intentions develop.
