About MyCarbon
MyCarbon is a specialist carbon and sustainability consultancy supporting organisations with carbon accounting, regulatory compliance, governance and net zero delivery. We work with complex organisations where credibility, technical rigour, and delivery quality matter.
We are now hiring a Business Development Lead (New Business) to accelerate growth, open new client relationships, and help build a scalable new‑business engine alongside the founders. This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role with clear progression for the right person.
The Role
Your primary focus is winning new business. You will proactively identify, engage, and convert new clients, selling MyCarbon’s services through well‑scoped packages, retained programmes, and multi‑year engagements. You’ll work closely with the directors, who will support later‑stage discovery and closing where helpful, but you’ll be trusted to take real ownership of the sales process. Alongside new business, you’ll support account expansion with existing clients and help improve how MyCarbon approaches sales more broadly as the business grows.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Proactively prospecting and opening doors with new organisations (heavy outbound expected)
- Engaging senior decision‑makers, including CFOs and Sustainability leaders
- Running discovery conversations and qualifying opportunities
- Shaping client needs into clearly defined MyCarbon service offerings
- Managing opportunities from first contact through to signed agreement
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and deal data in HubSpot
- Identifying upsell and expansion opportunities with existing clients
- Building partnerships with decarbonisation suppliers
- Feeding market insight back into service positioning and sales messaging
- Contributing to the evolution of MyCarbon’s sales processes and tools
Who We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Is commercially driven and motivated by winning new business

Package & Progression
- £40,000–£45,000 base salary (depending on experience)
