About MyCarbon
MyCarbon is a specialist carbon and sustainability consultancy supporting organisations with carbon accounting, net zero strategy, life‑cycle assessment, and regulatory reporting. Alongside our consulting work, we have built a highly regarded training programme grounded in real‑world consulting experience, not generic classroom theory. Over the past 6 months, demand for this training has grown rapidly and is now a strategically important part of the business.
The Role
This is a senior, leadership‑level role with significant scope, ownership, and progression. You will lead and grow MyCarbon’s training offering, taking it from a founder‑led activity to a standalone, professionally run part of the business. In the early stages, you will be hands‑on in training delivery to fully understand the product and protect quality. Over time, you will build the content, systems, and team needed to scale training without reliance on the directors.
The role blends:
- senior consulting credibility
- commercial and strategic ownership
- product and delivery leadership
- people and capability building
For the right person, this role offers a clear pathway into broader leadership as the business and training function continue to scale.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading MyCarbon’s training business end‑to‑end
- Personally delivering training initially and setting quality benchmarks
- Developing new training formats (private cohorts, modular courses, blended/online learning)
- Working with directors on pricing, packaging, and growth strategy
- Expanding the training portfolio beyond the current intensive course
- Reducing founder dependency by building robust systems and processes
- Hiring, onboarding, and managing additional trainers as demand grows
- Ensuring training remains commercially viable, credible, and scalable
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Is an experienced consultant (5 years minimum) looking to build and lead a business line
- Has deep, hands‑on experience in carbon, GHG accounting, net zero, LCA, or related areas
- Is confident facilitating and presenting to professional audiences
- Enjoys building products, teams, and systems, not just delivering day‑to‑day work
- Brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a long‑term view
- Wants real ownership and progression, not a narrow functional role
Formal training or L&D qualifications are not required, consulting credibility, judgement, and ambition matter far more.
Why Join MyCarbon?
- Opportunity to build and lead a core growth area of the business
- Real ownership, trust, and autonomy from day one
- Strong existing demand and proven traction
- Close collaboration with experienced founders
- Clear progression into broader senior leadership over time
- Meaningful work helping organisations develop real carbon capability
