Within your covering letter we want to know who you are beyond your CV: why you want to work for MyCarbon and what makes you an ideal candidate. (Max of 250 words). Alongside your CV and cover letter, please fill in the short google form (12 questions, a mix of short and long answer, estimated time 20 minutes) here.
- Stage Two - Initial Quickfire Chat: Successful applicants will then be invited to a short 15 minute interview to shortlist for the final round. This 15 minute interview will be a short introduction for both parties. If selected for the formal interview, you'll be asked to conduct an excel calculation task based on example client data. The time limit on this task is two hours.
- Stage Three - Formal Interview: Successful applicants will be invited to a 1 hour interview for a much deeper discussion.
- Stage Four - Selection: The successful candidate will be selected following the final interview.
About the role
Estimated Start Date: Summer 2025. We are looking for a Carbon Consultant to join our team in delivering high-standard Net Zero strategy services. You’ll be joining a team of passionate consultants supporting three business directors in making a truly positive impact on the world. We will provide you training in all relevant standards to ensure that you feel confident delivering the best of what MyCarbon has to offer – and supporting you to become a leader in this high growth industry. A STEM background is essential for this role. No prior experience of carbon accounting or developing emission reduction strategies required.
Core Responsibilities (approx. 67% of workload)
- GHG quantification and reporting (corporate and product specific)
- Life cycle analysis and reporting
- Development of emission reduction strategies
- Researching emission factors and latest guidance on sustainability best practices
- Client calls - introductions, project scoping, project delivery
Secondary responsibilities (approx. 33% of workload)
- Business development
- Internal process control - data control, CRM management, internal dashboard management
- Building networks (LinkedIn and email/CRM)
Key Performance Indicators
- Successful delivery of GHG / LCA / emission reduction reports
- Improving and building upon our emission factor database
- Improving client satisfaction
- Increase in projects delivered by MyCarbon
- Increase in conversion of new business
- Improvement to MyCarbon internal processes
