As our Facilities Team Leader – Grounds, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our grounds and gardens team, ensuring our outdoor spaces are maintained to an exceptional standard. You'll be hands-on when needed, while also coordinating workloads, mentoring team members, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement across our sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and support the Grounds team
- Schedule and coordinate daily, weekly and annual grounds maintenance activities
- Maintain gardens, lawns, landscapes, and outdoor areas to a high standard
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Manage grounds equipment, tools, vehicles, and materials
- Support WHS compliance and safe work practices
- Build positive relationships with residents, staff, and contractors
- Identify opportunities to improve presentation, efficiency, and service delivery
- Respond professionally to feedback and maintenance requests
You are a proactive leader who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and takes pride in creating outstanding outdoor spaces. You'll Bring:
- Experience in horticulture, grounds maintenance, or facilities management
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A safety-first mindset
- Current driver's licence
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Police Check (or ability to obtain)
Highly Regarded:
- Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture (or willingness to obtain)
- 5+ years' horticultural experience
- Experience managing grounds maintenance across large or complex sites
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, equipment maintenance, and landscaping best practices
