As a Catering Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating enjoyable dining experiences for our residents and customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and presenting meals and refreshments
- Assisting with food service in dining areas
- Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning duties
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Supporting kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Working collaboratively with cooks and fellow catering team members
This role is ideal for someone seeking casual work and who is available to work a variety of shifts. It is highly desirable for applicants to be available for BOTH:
- Morning shifts (7am – 2pm)
- Afternoon shifts (2pm – 7:30pm)
Flexibility across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays will be highly regarded.
About You: You'll be someone who:
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced catering or hospitality environment
- Has a genuine passion for customer service
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Maintains a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Understands the importance of food safety and hygiene
- Is physically capable of performing catering and cleaning duties
- Takes pride in delivering quality service every day
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in aged care, healthcare, retirement living in line with the Aged Care Strengthened Standards
- Previous catering, hospitality, café, or food service experience
- Food Handling Certificate
- Barista skills or catering qualifications
Role Requirements:
- Satisfactory police check (or willingness to obtain through BallyCara)
- Right to work in Australia
- COVID and Influenza vaccinations highly recommended
