Casual Residential Aged Care Housekeeper – Help Keep BallyCara Feeling Like Home in Scarborough

We’re looking for reliable, caring and hardworking Housekeepers to join our Residential Aged Care team at our beautiful Scarborough community — just one street from the water. This is a casual position with the opportunity to move into permanent employment for the right person and team fit.

You’ll be an important part of creating a clean, safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors and team members. Your day could include:

• Cleaning resident rooms and communal areas
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising
• Cleaning bathrooms, offices, kitchens and shared spaces
• Supporting our in-house laundry, including sorting, washing and distribution
• Removing rubbish and replenishing supplies
• Following infection prevention and control practices
• Using cleaning equipment, products and PPE safely
• Responding respectfully to resident and staff requests
• Identifying and reporting maintenance, safety or other concerns

You’re not just cleaning. You’re helping create a place where people feel comfortable, respected and at home. A beautifully made room, a clean common area or simply taking the time to say hello can make someone's day.

Could this be you? You don’t necessarily need previous aged care experience. We’re looking for people who:

• Are reliable, hardworking and take pride in what they do
• Have experience in cleaning, housekeeping or a similar environment
• Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team
• Are organised and able to manage their time effectively
• Have a friendly, respectful and customer-focused approach
• Are comfortable with the physical demands of a hands-on role
• Understand the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and attention to detail

Experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality or commercial cleaning will be highly regarded, as will knowledge of infection prevention and control.
