/About myairops®
myairops® provides innovative SaaS solutions to the business aviation industry. We are a fast-growing scale-up, expanding rapidly in the US and globally. We help operators, flight departments, and aviation businesses run more efficiently through our modern, integrated platform.
As we continue to grow, it’s vital that our commercial processes scale with us. This role will play a key part in accelerating sales cycles by applying expertise in commercial legal contracts to streamline our contracting process and reduce reliance on internal legal and external advisors.
If you’re a commercial specialist with SaaS experience and want to play a pivotal role in driving the growth of a fast-moving scale-up, this role is for you.
The Role
We are seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to own our contract and related commercial processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within a SaaS company, ideally a scale-up, with a proven track record of driving commercial improvements that accelerate deal closure and support revenue growth, and with customer service skills that help maintain positive customer engagement throughout the contract negotiation period.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract & Commercial Management
- Prepare and submit our SaaS contract and/or (where required) review customer contracts (including MSAs, NDAs, vendor agreements, amendments, renewals)
- negotiate such commercial contracts through to closing, liaising with Legal department and management as appropriate
- Own and improve contract templates and playbooks to reduce escalations to Legal
- Develop a thorough understanding of our key legal and commercial requirements as a supplier of proprietary software as a service
- Track and manage contract deviations, balancing speed and customer requirements with prudent contract risk management
- Support pricing governance, approvals, and commercial policy enforcement
- Customer facing – willing to join customer meetings and legal discussions alongside Sales Managers
- Partner closely with the sales team to remove friction from the sales cycle and accelerate time to close.
- Work with Finance and Operations to align contract terms with billing, delivery, and compliance.
- Act as the key interface with our shared Legal resource, escalating complex /commercially significant legal risk issues while owning, managing and resolving the more commonly occurring issues directly with customers.
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement streamlined processes for contract review and approval.
- Introduce tools or systems (e.g., trackers, workflows) to improve visibility and turnaround times.
- Identify and implement strategic improvements to legal, contract, and commercial processes with the goal of increasing sales speed to close.
- Champion best practices and educate internal teams on commercial processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential: Prior experience in a SaaS business, ideally within a scale-up environment.
- Essential: Legal contract knowledge, as a minimum at a foundation level, to facilitate confident engagement with our Legal team and customers’ legal representatives, and to assist with recognising when specialist legal input is required.
- Strong background in commercial/contract negotiation and management
- Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts confidently (where required, some internal training with internal Legal department may be available, including to assist initial familiarisation with our requirements)
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to build processes and procedures from the ground-up
- Commercially minded, with a focus on enabling growth and improving revenue outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management – able to influence and collaborate across sales, finance, legal, as well as with customer representatives.
- Process-oriented with a track record of implementing improvements that speed up deal cycles.
What Success Looks Like
- Customer contracts concluded quickly with minimised Legal team involvement except for final sign-off
- Sales cycle time reduced through improved commercial processes
- Commercial playbooks, FAQ’s and policies embedded across the business
- Internal teams see you as the go-to expert for commercial and contract matters
Due to the volume of applications received, only candidates selected for interview will be contacted. If you do not hear from us within 20 working days then your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
