Garden Maintenance Operative

Job Summary

You\’ll be helping to maintain a wide range of domestic gardens across Bournemouth and Poole, working alongside experienced gardeners and learning on the job. This role offers variety, outdoor work, and the chance to be part of a growing, well-respected local business.

Duties

• Mow lawns using professional equipment
• Strim edges, paths, and awkward areas
• Weed and dig borders and beds
• Trim hedges and prune shrubs under supervision
• Clear leaves, debris, and general garden waste
• Load and unload tools, keeping equipment tidy and ready to use
• Assist team members with general garden tidy-ups and seasonal tasks

Experience

• Some experience in garden maintenance, groundskeeping, or similar outdoor work
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job
• Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor labour in all weather
• Punctual, reliable, and polite when dealing with customers
• Able to follow instructions and work well in a small team
• Full UK driving licence preferred (not essential for the right candidate)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £100.00 per day

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Poole BH14 9JF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Gardening: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• PA1 Pesticide Certificate (preferred)
