About My Sunday Ski
My Sunday Ski is a fast-growing, female-founded skiwear brand bringing a fashion-first approach to the slopes. Known for statement skiwear, distinctive creative and a highly engaged global community, we’ve grown rapidly across the UK and US, with an ever-expanding international customer base. As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Performance Marketing Manager to join us on a maternity cover basis, leading our paid digital strategy, driving profitable growth and helping shape the next chapter of My Sunday Ski.
Role Overview
This is a key role for an experienced paid media specialist who’s confident owning Meta, Google, TikTok and Pinterest in-house. You’ll take responsibility for our performance marketing strategy end-to-end - from campaign builds and day-to-day optimisation through to budget allocation, forecasting and longer-term strategy. You’ll work closely with our founders and wider marketing and creative teams to ensure paid activity is aligned with both commercial objectives and the My Sunday Ski brand.
Joining us in November means stepping into the business at one of the most important points in our trading calendar. My Sunday Ski is a highly seasonal business, with significant peaks around Black Friday, Christmas and our key seasonal sale periods. Spend scales considerably during these periods, so you’ll need to be confident managing significant budgets, reacting quickly to performance and making smart commercial decisions within concentrated selling windows.
You’ll work closely with our current Senior Performance Marketing Manager during a structured handover period, giving you a strong understanding of our accounts, reporting, seasonal strategy and ways of working before taking full ownership. We’re a brand-first business with high standards for creative, but when it comes to paid media, we’re relentlessly focused on ROAS, margin and profitable growth. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every pound we invest works hard, while making sure our paid output continues to feel unmistakably My Sunday Ski.
Key Responsibilities
- Take hands-on ownership of paid media across Meta, Google, TikTok and Pinterest, including campaign builds, optimisation, budget management and testing.
- Develop paid media strategy and campaign structures across audiences, budgets and channels, aligned with seasonal marketing and commercial goals.
- Own budget allocation, pacing and scaling across channels, markets and campaigns, making daily data-led decisions based on performance, margin and commercial priorities.
- Lead our Google Ads activity across Shopping/PMax and Search, working closely with Google Merchant Center and our product feeds to maximise ecommerce performance.
- Develop and execute a structured testing roadmap across creative, copy, audiences, formats and campaign structures.
- Test new channels, formats and targeting strategies to identify opportunities for incremental growth.
- Oversee our affiliate marketing programme, working closely with our external agency to review performance, identify growth opportunities and ensure the channel is aligned with wider commercial objectives.
- Report regularly on performance, key metrics and actionable insights to the wider team.
- Work closely with our creative team to brief and deliver best-in-class, performance-led creative that remains unmistakably on-brand.
- Use paid performance and content insights to identify creative opportunities, inform new iterations and shape our ongoing creative testing roadmap.
- Work closely with the email, social and ecommerce teams to ensure paid activity is aligned with the wider marketing and trading calendar.
- Support with writing and refining ad copy to ensure it reflects our brand tone while driving performance across channels.
Analytics & Reporting
- Own and maintain performance reporting and dashboards across Looker Studio, GA4 and platform data, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of performance and ROI.
- Work closely with our wider marketing and ecommerce team to understand and optimise full-funnel performance.
- Own performance forecasting and contribute to seasonal trading, budget and investment planning.
- Analyse performance beyond platform-level ROAS, considering margin, customer acquisition costs and wider commercial objectives.
- Understand ecommerce measurement and attribution across advertising platforms, GA4 and Shopify, identifying and troubleshooting discrepancies where needed.
- Identify trends, opportunities and risks quickly, translating data into clear actions and recommendations for the wider team.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience managing paid media campaigns, with strong recent hands-on experience across Meta and Google Ads essential.
- Strong ecommerce Google Ads experience across Shopping/PMax and Search, with a good understanding of Google Merchant Center and product feeds.
- Proven experience managing and scaling significant paid media budgets during high-volume ecommerce trading periods.
- Strong experience optimising ecommerce campaigns against ROAS, CPA and profitable growth targets.
- Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of the relationship between paid media performance, margin and overall business profitability.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce measurement, attribution and reporting across advertising platforms, GA4 and Shopify.
- Confident working with performance marketing dashboards and reporting tools such as Looker Studio.
- Experience managing paid media across multiple international markets, ideally including the UK and US, is highly desirable.
- Experience with TikTok, Pinterest or other emerging paid social channels is highly desirable.
- A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of brand positioning and the role of creative within paid performance.
- Highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to make quick, confident decisions during high-intensity trading periods.
- Collaborative and comfortable working closely with creative, ecommerce and marketing teams, while taking full ownership of performance results.
- Experience working with fashion, lifestyle or DTC ecommerce brands is essential.
This is a hands-on role rather than an agency-management position, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the accounts and owning performance day-to-day.
The Vibe
Fast-paced, fashion-forward, creative and collaborative. We’re a small team, so everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets stuck in. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact, bring fresh thinking to the table and help shape how we approach performance marketing as the business continues to scale. We’re always open to new ideas, testing new approaches and finding smarter ways of working.
