We are expanding our clinical team and seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and wider mental health conditions across both adult and child populations.
Role Summary
As a Consultant Psychiatrist at My Solution Wellbeing, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services for adults and children presenting with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and general mental health conditions. You will serve as a clinical lead within a supportive multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development, innovation, and clinical governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnoses, including neurodevelopmental conditions (ADHD, ASD)
- Prescribe and monitor pharmacological treatments in line with NICE guidelines
- Collaborate with and lead multidisciplinary teams, including counsellors, psychologists, and support staff
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior colleagues
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safeguarding policies, and CQC standards
- Act as Clinical Director when required and contribute to strategic service planning
- Engage in audits, CPD activities, and continuous service improvement
- Work flexibly across remote, in-person, and hybrid models in line with patient needs
- Leverage digital health platforms and AI-enabled tools to enhance clinical outcomes
Person Specification
Essential:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register in General Adult Psychiatry
- Independent prescribing rights
- Minimum of two yearsβ substantive NHS experience
- Experience diagnosing and managing ADHD and Autism in adults
- Familiarity with NICE guidelines and CQC regulatory standards
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Competence with digital platforms and adaptability to new technologies
- Commitment to delivering high clinical standards and patient-centred care
Desirable:
- Approved Clinician Status
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Previous experience in private practice or the independent sector
- Proficiency in digital health platforms and AI-assisted consultation tools
- Training in psychopharmacology and neurodevelopmental psychiatry
- Interest in strategic growth and service innovation
