What you will do:

– Lead and manage a dedicated team of qualified social workers and professionals in delivering statutory adult mental health services.
– Provide day-to-day leadership, ensuring professional supervision, case discussion, and practice development are integrated.
– Manage team performance, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales, KPIs, and safeguarding standards.
– Promote mental health social work practice aligned with key legislation including the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Human Rights Act.
– Act as the practice lead on complex cases, supporting legal proceedings when necessary.
– Oversee adult safeguarding enquiries ensuring the MSP principles are maintained.
– Collaborate with NHS mental health providers, AMHP services, and other agencies to ensure coherent multi-agency work.
– Participate in professional meetings, discharge forums, and contribute to service development and policy improvement.
