What you will do:
β Provide supervision, guidance, and performance management for a team of social workers and support staff working with older adults.
β Oversee assessments, care planning, and interventions to ensure timely, person-centred, and strengths-based support for older people.
β Lead adult safeguarding processes, including risk assessments, protection planning, and multi-agency coordination.
β Ensure practice adheres to statutory requirements, such as the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005, and council policies.
β Promote effective collaboration with health services, housing, voluntary organisations, and other agencies.
β Monitor team workloads and contribute to budget oversight, ensuring efficient use of resources.
β Contribute to continuous improvement, service development initiatives, and implementation of best practices.
β Support the management of complex or high-risk cases, including acting as decision-maker in key meetings or disputes.
β Represent the team in borough-wide planning and inter-agency meetings relevant to older peopleβs services.
