What you will do
- Lead and manage a team within Children’s Services to ensure the provision of high-quality safeguarding and support.
- Coordinate service delivery in line with statutory requirements and departmental priorities.
- Facilitate effective team meetings, supervision sessions, and participate in the emergency duty rota as needed.
- Ensure meticulous recording and use of technology for efficient case management.
- Build strong working relationships with external agencies, including police and health authorities, to provide a holistic service.
- Oversee individual client case planning, ensuring professional standards and departmental procedures are upheld.
- Drive service development initiatives and champion the Council’s equal opportunities policies.
- Foster a learning environment by engaging in continuous professional development and training.
Requirements of the Team Manager
- Degree or equivalent in social work and current Social Work England registration.
- Proven recent managerial experience, having worked as a Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, or Assistant Team Manager in frontline Children’s Services.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead and develop a team within a challenging yet rewarding safeguarding environment.
