What you will do:

  • Ensure effective delivery of statutory services to children in need, children on child protection plans, and looked-after children.
  • Oversee allocation and prioritisation of cases, ensuring workloads are balanced and manageable.
  • Monitor performance through audits, supervision, and key performance indicators, ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Chair complex meetings, including strategy discussions, CIN reviews, and professionals’ meetings.
  • Ensure the timely completion of assessments, care plans, and reviews in line with statutory deadlines.
  • Offer reflective, challenging supervision that promotes safe decision-making and positive outcomes for children.
  • Contribute to service planning, improvement initiatives, and inspection readiness.
  • Manage HR processes for your team, including recruitment, sickness absence, capability, and disciplinary matters.
