A fantastic opportunity awaits an experienced Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team in Cambridgeshire. Based in Huntingdon, this ongoing locum role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, combining the support of an office-based team with the freedom of remote work. What you will do:
Carry out statutory visits to Children in Need (CIN), those on Child Protection (CP) plans, and Children in Care (CIC).
Chair CIN and Core Group Meetings to align multi-agency support and safeguarding measures.
Manage complex caseloads, including Public Law Outline (PLO) and Section 31 care proceedings.
Prepare and submit court reports, parenting and risk assessments with clarity and care.
Attend court proceedings with Senior Practitioners or your Team Manager for support.
Participate in the duty rota, providing responsive support for urgent safeguarding cases.
Prepare detailed reports for Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences (ICPC/RCPC).
Monitor, manage, and assess risk to uphold child safety and welfare.
