What you will do:
- Collaborate with adult-focused practitioners specializing in substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health to enhance assessments and plans
- Support children and families facing challenges related to complex neglect, sexual and physical harm, and risks outside the home, such as child exploitation and parental learning difficulties
- Engage with parents and the wider family network, utilizing Family Group Conferencing to identify strengths, solve problems, and facilitate positive change
- Contribute to the development of assessment plans and interventions, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
- Work with children and families under the guidance of Family Safeguarding principles to empower them to make sustainable changes
What kind of experience or qualifications do you need?
To excel in this role, you must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, with proven experience in social work with children and families within a Local Authority team. Experience in family court work is desirable. You should have a passion for relationship-based social work, a sense of pride in your profession, and the ability to think creatively about relationship building to empower families. Competency in IT is essential, with a willingness to learn LiquidLogic. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are necessary for travel within our stunning county.
