Sanctuary Personnel – Senior Practitioner (Children in Care Team)

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative recruitment agency, has a new permanent position for a Senior Practitioner within the Children in Care Team, based in Maidenhead. The salary for this role is up to £47,708 per annum.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage a complex caseload, including children at risk, care proceedings, and child protection plans, to positively impact children, young people, and families by enhancing practice quality and partnership working, while ensuring legislative compliance.
  2. Act as a mentor and consultant to less experienced social workers, supporting reflective practice, court proceedings, and chairing multi-agency meetings.
  3. Support Team Managers by providing peer supervision, mentoring, and deputising in managerial absence.
  4. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families, analyzing information to coordinate multi-agency efforts for safeguarding and promoting wellbeing.
  5. Undertake statutory duties under The Children Act and related legislation, including court proceedings, legal liaison, and safeguarding investigations.
  6. Collaborate with professionals and agencies, building positive relationships with children and families, promoting participation, and ensuring their voices are heard.
  7. Maintain professional development through ongoing training and supervision, staying updated on legislation, policies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
