Shooting Stars Kings Norton .

What You'll Be Doing
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will
- Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.
- Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families.
- Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences that support children's development.
- Observe, assess and record children's progress.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
- Promote inclusion, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every child.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, parents and external professionals.
- Champion safeguarding, health and safety, and high-quality practice.
- Additional Responsibilities for Senior Nursery Practitioners
As a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you'll also
- Support the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the room.
- Help maintain outstanding standards of care and education.
- Support, coach and mentor colleagues, apprentices and students.
- Lead by example and help drive continuous improvement.
- Develop valuable leadership skills in preparation for future progression opportunities, including Room Leader roles.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS Framework and child development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, professional and enthusiastic approach.
- Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Desirable
- Experience working with children under 3 years old.
- Experience within a Baby Room, Pre-Toddler or Toddler Room.
- Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues (Senior Practitioner applicants).
- Experience working with SEND.
- Experience of Ofsted inspections.
- Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding or Food Hygiene qualifications.
