About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Civil Engineering & Construction division based in Leeds.

The Role
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you’ll receive comprehensive training and mentorship whilst developing expertise within the civil engineering and construction sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and engaging high-calibre engineering and construction professionals.
- Building and managing relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Developing new business opportunities with construction contractors, consultancies and infrastructure organisations.
- Conducting interviews and assessing candidate suitability.
- Managing the recruitment process from introduction through to placement.
- Creating candidate shortlists and presenting them to clients.
- Negotiating offers and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Keeping up to date with market trends, projects and industry developments.
- Building your personal brand through LinkedIn, networking and industry events.

- Degree educated (any discipline considered).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competitive, ambitious and goal-oriented mindset.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
- Resilient, proactive and self-motivated.
- Ability to build relationships and influence others.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Previous sales, customer-facing, sporting or leadership experience is advantageous but not essential.
