This is a senior, hands‑on engineering role with significant ownership – ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex backend problems while shaping real‑world systems that need to work reliably at scale. About the Role You’ll work closely with technical leadership to design and build the backend services powering a global platform. These systems handle device connectivity, real‑time communication, and operational telemetry and must perform reliably in environments where uptime matters. You’ll spend most of your time building production‑grade services, while also contributing to architecture, reviewing engineering work, and helping guide technical standards across distributed teams and partners. What You’ll Be Doing Designing, building, and shipping scalable backend services Owning complex problems across APIs, data flows, and system integration Contributing to platform architecture and technical decision‑making Improving reliability, observability, and operational readiness Reviewing code and designs from internal teams and external partners Ensuring systems are secure, maintainable, and production‑ready Working with cloud‑native tooling (Azure, containers, infrastructure as code) What We’re Looking For Strong experience building and operating backend or distributed systems in production Solid coding skills (ideally Python and/or Node.js) Experience designing service‑oriented architectures and APIs Hands‑on exposure to cloud environments (Azure preferred) Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code Strong technical judgement and a pragmatic approach to trade‑offs Confidence in reviewing and guiding the work of other engineers Comfortable working in a hands‑on, senior individual contributor role Why This Role?
