My Product Path are recruiting on behalf of a global Electronics organisation for a Tier 1 Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis. The role is initially 4 days on-site.

As a Tier 1 Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for supporting on-premise infrastructure for our clients, with a focus on our end user devices such as computers and mobile devices. As this is a customer-facing role, strong communication skills are essential.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support on-premise infrastructure, including switches, wireless networks, Windows Server roles (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
  • Maintain and support our end user infrastructure, including computers, mobile devices, printers, meeting room equipment.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery solutions, primarily using Veeam.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of the infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented across on-premise environments in line with our security and vulnerability policies.
  • Providing BAU support for the businesses and leveraging the senior engineers as an escalation point.
  • Ensure detailed and comprehensive information is captured for each ticket, including user details, issue description, troubleshooting steps taken, and resolution.
  • Categorise, prioritise, and assign tickets according to established procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain timely and accurate updates on ticket status and resolution progress throughout the ticket lifecycle.
