The Role: Our Nursery Practitioners play a critical role in the successful operation of our world‑class nursery. This role will be focussed on providing the very best care for our children, ensuring their individual needs are met in a group setting.

  • Work as part of a close‑knit team in a child‑centred environment where the children are cared for in a safe, loving and stimulating way.
  • To be familiar with, and act according to, safeguarding guidelines.
  • Responsible for the safety, security and well‑being of all children attending the setting.
  • Responsible for ensuring regular communication and interaction with parents to update them on their child’s progress.
  • Responsible for supervising children at play indoor and outdoor, and at mealtimes to ensure safety.
  • Provide an enhanced mealtime experience for the children, ensuring that any food that is served is being monitored and conforming to Food Safety regulations.
  • Take responsibility for a planned programme of activities for the children, following the EYFS framework.
  • To take charge of own key worker group and inform parents and other colleagues of any other relevant information.
  • Responsible for maintaining children’s records, inclusive of observations and their next steps.
  • Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of room is of a high standard and toys and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • A passion and dedication to providing world‑class care to children.
  • To hold a full and relevant early years qualification of Level 3 or above.
  • It is a requirement to have at least a level 5 (Grade C) in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Prior experience of working with children aged 3 months to 5 years.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong desire to learn.
