We are looking for a Nursery Housekeeper to join our Shire House Nursery in Gerrards Cross. Do you take pride in keeping things clean, calm, and cared for? We’re looking for a Part-Time Housekeeper to help keep our nursery sparkling, safe, and welcoming for the little ones who play, learn, and grow with us every day.
Position Details
- Location: Shire House | Gerrards Cross
- Hours: 20 hrs per week (Monday to Friday)
- Hourly Rate: from £12.71 an hour

As a Nursery Housekeeper, you’ll:
- Keep playrooms, bathrooms, and shared areas clean and hygienic, ready for busy little explorers
- Handle laundry and linen changes to ensure everything is fresh, tidy, and cosy
- Support the team with daily cleaning routines, helping maintain our high standards of care
- Help us create a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe and nurtured
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a great eye for detail and a genuine pride in their work
- Can work independently but is also happy to be part of a team
- Understands (or is willing to learn) basic health & safety and hygiene procedures
- Brings a positive attitude and a caring approach to everything they do
- Has a genuine love for working in an environment with children
- Can plan ahead, stay organised, and work independently
- Is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation in all areas
- Handles laundry duties, including washing, drying and correct storage of all laundry
- Ensures effective communication with colleagues and management regarding daily cleaning schedules, supply needs and any maintenance issues
Applicants will need to show they have the right to work in the United Kingdom and the successful candidate will be subject to a DBS, reference and social media checks.
