About Us: My Music Tuition is a local music school and tuition service provider delivering high-quality 1:1 and group lessons to around 20 schools across Leicestershire. We work with students of all ages and abilities, and are a registered exam centre for the London College of Music.
The Role:
- Monday Evening Sessions: Permanent slot teaching private piano students at our Melton Mowbray base to a range of ages and abilities.
- Primary School Day: Initially one day per week delivering piano lessons in a local primary school just outside Melton Mowbray. Working with children 1:1 during the school day.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging, structured piano lessons tailored to each student’s level and goals
- Prepare students for LCM exams if desired, but not essential
- Track student progress and liaise with parents / school staff
- Create a positive, encouraging environment that builds confidence and a love of music
- Be reliable, professional, and DBS-checked
What We’re Looking For:
- Grade 6+ in Piano or equivalent experience. Teaching qualification a bonus but not required
- Experience teaching children and adults, in private and school settings preferred
- Patient, friendly, and great at communicating with parents and school staff. Good rapport building is essential
- Own transport to travel to the school just outside Melton Mowbray
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
- Public liability insurance
