Role Description
The Early Childhood Educator is a part-time, on-site role based in Wokingham.
The educator will plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising children, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, preparing educational and play-based materials, and supporting routines such as meals, rest, and transitions.
The role involves regular communication with parents and caregivers, documenting observations, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure high-quality childcare aligned with relevant standards and best practices.
The educator also contributes to a positive, inclusive atmosphere that reflects the values of My Little Boardroom.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and experience working with children in group settings.
- Creativity skills for designing engaging, play-based learning activities and adapting them to different developmental stages.
- Organization skills to manage schedules, learning plans, and classroom resources efficiently.
- Relevant childcare or early years qualification (e. g., Level 3 or equivalent) or progress toward one.
- Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and OFSTED requirements in early years settings.
- Ability to foster an inclusive, respectful environment for children from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic first aid training and DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain them.
