About the Role:

  • Supporting our members as they follow their Catering and Hospitality Pathway, helping them gain the skills and confidence.
  • Supporting people to complete accredited qualifications.
  • Assisting people at external catering and hospitality placements.
  • Supporting individuals in our Pop-Up Café and party tent to serve staff and deliver outstanding service.
  • Preparing and serving high-quality food in a fast-paced café environment.
  • Running engaging cooking sessions in our classroom for people with additional needs.
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene, safety and organisational standards.
  • Helping people to thrive in catering and hospitality environments.
  • Delivering great customer service and representing My Life with pride.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experienced Person: Someone who has professional kitchen experience and enjoys a fast-paced service, but is also friendly, approachable and patient.
  • HACCP Knowledge & Level 2 in Health and Hygiene: You understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment and are familiar with food safety regulations.
  • People Person: You thrive in social settings and love interacting with customers, ensuring everyone feels welcome and valued.
  • Support Background (Advantageous): Experience in a support or care-focused role would be a bonus, as we appreciate empathy and a thoughtful, attentive approach to service.
  • Passion for Making a Difference: You're someone who believes in going the extra mile to make a positive impact on others, whether it's a customer's day or the atmosphere of the café.
