Join My Life’s Inspirational Team: Make a Real Difference with Us!

At My Life, we’re all about making a real difference in people’s lives through our passionate and inspirational teams. Here, you won't just be working a job; you'll be contributing to meaningful community-based work that positively impacts lives every day.

My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. We pride ourselves on being a unique service. We offer personalised support to a diverse range of individuals living in their own homes. Each person has their own dedicated team, delivering support that’s tailored specifically to their needs and preferences. This isn’t a one‑size‑fits‑all approach— it's about making sense for them and making a difference.

About the Role:

As a Bank Support Worker you will provide care and support within My Life’s community and respite chalet teams, providing specialist care to each individual. You will have the flexibility to choose day, evening, night, and weekend shifts while making a real difference to people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Living Support: This will vary depending on the individual being supported.

  • Personalised care: Providing specialist care to each individual, including complex care needs, learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues and behaviours that challenge.

  • Health & Well-being Monitoring: Monitoring safety, well-being, and overall happiness.

  • Encourage independence: Assisting with life skills and supporting individuals in social and recreational activities tailored to their interests.

  • Be a Friendly Confidant: Building genuine connections, providing companionship, encouragement, and positivity every day.

About You:

  • Passionate about supporting others: You’re naturally caring and enjoy helping others feel safe, respected and empowered.

  • Great Communication Skills: You can easily connect with individuals from all walks of life and communicate with both the people you support and your team.

  • Adaptable & Flexible: Every day brings something different, and you’re happy to take on new challenges while ensuring the highest standards of care.

  • Experienced in, or willing to learn: You may be experienced in one area of support but are willing to gain more experience, or you may not have experience but willing to learn.

Rewards and Benefits

  • Hours: Flexible - shifts that work around you.

  • Training and Development: Comprehensive training provided, with ongoing support to help you grow in your role.

  • Career Progression: Opportunities to advance within My Life Legacy.
