About the Role

As a Support Worker / Personal Assistant, you will support a 27‑year‑old male with a learning disability who is supported by two staff members during the day and one staff member overnight for the sleep‑in shift. You’ll work closely with him and his support network, focusing on promoting his well‑being, fostering skills, and enhancing his sense of community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Living Support: Help with daily activities, meal preps, and light household tasks to keep his routine running smoothly.
  • Community Adventures: Accompany him on outings—whether it’s going to the shops, attending local events, or exploring the best coffee spots in Chorley.
  • Skill Building & Independence: Work alongside him to develop life skills that boost his confidence and self‑sufficiency.
  • Be a Friendly Confidant: Build a genuine connection, providing companionship, encouragement, and a positive vibe every day.
  • Health & Well‑being Monitoring: Look out for his safety, well‑being, and overall happiness, always keeping communication open with his family and care team.
