Are you a newly qualified solicitor, or have up to two years' post-qualification experience, and want to build your career in specialist employment law? My Law Solicitors is a growing specialist employment law firm based in Wakefield. We're looking for an enthusiastic Employment Solicitor to join our close-knit team.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career alongside two experienced Employment Solicitors, gaining hands-on experience from day one whilst receiving the support and mentoring needed to build your confidence and expertise. We're a family-run law firm with a simple philosophy: provide outstanding legal advice whilst creating a supportive place to work.
As a specialist employment law firm, every member of our team works exclusively within employment law, allowing you to develop real expertise in this area from the very beginning of your career. Your work will include advising clients across a broad range of employment law matters, including:
- Employment Tribunal matters
A significant proportion of your work will involve advising clients on Settlement Agreements, explaining legal advice in plain English, negotiating with employers and helping clients achieve the best possible outcome. You'll quickly gain responsibility for your own files whilst working closely with Leah and Balal, who will provide ongoing support, guidance and supervision as your experience develops.
Requirements:
- Is newly qualified or has up to two years' PQE.
- Has previous employment law experience, whether gained during training, as a paralegal or since qualification.
- Enjoys speaking directly with clients and building relationships.
- Wants to build a long-term career in specialist employment law.
- Can reliably commute to our Wakefield office.
- Previous employment law experience is essential.
Salary of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm working hours.
25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
Christmas office closure.
