My Key Recruitment is proud to be supporting a growing and forward-thinking financial services business in the search for an experienced Paraplanner to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern and supportive organisation that provides high-quality outsourced paraplanning services to financial advisers across the UK. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they are now looking to appoint a skilled Paraplanner who is looking to develop their career within a professional and progressive environment.

The Role

In this position, you will manage client cases from start to finish, supporting advisers with technical research, financial planning analysis, and detailed report writing. You will be involved in a broad range of financial planning areas including:

  • Pensions and retirement planning
  • Investment planning
  • Protection planning
  • Inheritance tax and estate planning
  • Pension transfers
  • Cashflow modelling

This is a technically focused role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and confidence managing complex financial planning cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing client cases from fact-find analysis through to suitability report completion
  • Drafting detailed suitability reports across a range of financial advice areas
  • Producing advanced cashflow modelling using tools such as Voyant, Cashcalc, and Intelliflo
  • Conducting technical research using systems including FE Analytics, Defaqto, and Assureweb
  • Working within Intelliflo CRM to manage and track client cases
  • Ensuring files meet compliance and regulatory standards
  • Liaising with advisers and administrators to ensure smooth case progression
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate
  • Working with financial platforms including Aviva, Quilter, abrdn, Fidelity International, Transact, and AJ Bell

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential)
  • Minimum 3 years' paraplanning experience
  • Experience working within an independent financial advice environment (preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and retirement planning
  • Confidence managing complex financial planning cases
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with advisers and colleagues
